Holliday, William, Harrison, Michigan

Passed away Friday, February 25, 2011, at Mid-Michigan Medical Center in Midland. Age 81 years. William Holliday was born December 10, 1929, in Saginaw to the late David D. and Irene M. (Hartl) Holliday. He married Betty Jean Thurston on February 17, 1951. She predeceased him in 2010. He was employed by and retired from the Saginaw County Sheriff’s Department. He was also a volunteer fireman for Albee Township and a park ranger for Wilson State Park in Harrison, MI. Surviving are four daughters, two sons and their spouses, Carol Raabe and Paul of Saginaw, Janet Walat, of Harrison, Richard and Linda Holliday, Debra Holliday, all of Midland, Joe and Linda Holliday, of St. Charles, and Patricia and Dan Little, of Harrison, MI; eleven grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren with another soon to be born; several nieces and nephews; and a brother and his spouse, Edward and Blanche Holliday, of Midland. He was predeceased by a son, William D. Holliday, and a brother, David Carl Holliday. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 28, 2011, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road. Rev. Jeffrey Williams will officiate with burial in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the Chapel on Sunday from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. www.casefuneralhome.com
