Herlache, Jacquelin M., Freeland, Michigan


Passed away Friday, October 7, 2011. Age 59 years. Jacquelin was born September 23, 1952, the daughter of Lila (Stark) and the late William Koch in Saginaw, Michigan. She married Russell Herlache, December 29, 1973. He survives her. She received her Masters Degree in Educational Administration from Central Michigan University and was employed as Basic Math Skills Coordinator with Saginaw Valley State University for twenty-one years, retiring in 2010. She was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church. She volunteered with Paws With A Cause, an organization that trains assistance dogs for people with disabilities. Surviving besides her husband, Russell, and mother, Lila, are a daughter, Ellen Herlache and her friend, John, a brother, a sister and their spouses, Stevan and Shirley Koch, Kalkaska, MI; Karen and Walter Cox, Freeland, MI; several nieces and nephews. A daughter, Laura Herlache, passed away in 2006. Cremation has taken place. A memorial Funeral Liturgy will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 6400 McCarty Road, Saginaw. Rev. James R. Carlson will officiate. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, from 3:00-9:00 p.m. Tuesday and then at the Church from 10:00 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the memorial liturgy.
