Heinz, Jean K., Saginaw, Michigan

Passed away Saturday, August 27, 2011, at the Cartwright Care Center. Age 70 years. The daughter of the late Corletta (Zucker) and Clarence Beranek was born September 18, 1940 in Frankenmuth, Michigan. She married Jack Lambert in 1958, he passed away in 1967. She later married Henry (Doc) Heinz, July 2, 1969. He survives her. She was employed by Citizen’s Bank for many years and worked with her husband in their business, Doc Heinz Contracting. Jean was a very active member of Peace Lutheran Church, serving on many committees, its Ladies Guild and Senior service. She was politically active with the Republican Party and had served as a State Delegate. Jean was always caring and giving, often serving as caregiver to those in need, but most of all, loved her family and God. She enjoyed traveling. Surviving besides her husband are three children and their spouses, Jeffrey and Jean M. Heinz; Jackie (Heinz) and Pete Campbell; Jo Ellen (Heinz) and Denis Mingallon; seven grandchildren, Mitchell, Danielle, Gabrielle, Jacob, Cassandra, Katelynn and Charlotte; two sisters and a brother, Fern Canfield, Robert Beranek, Irene Gonzalez; several nieces and nephews. A brother, Ivan Beranek, has predeceased her. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church, 3427 Adams St. Rev. C. William Weiss will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Road, from 2:00-9:00 p.m. Monday and then at the church from 10:00 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the funeral service.
