Gulliver, Rosemary J., Saginaw, Michigan

Loving mother and grandmother passed away Sunday, May 1, 2011 at St. Mary’s of Michigan Medical Center. Age 83 years. Daughter of the late Steven and Caroline (Simoncic) Novak, Rosemary was born August 16, 1927 in Saginaw, Michigan. She was married to Denis Gulliver on July 3, 1962. He predeceased her June 23, 2007. Rosemary was employed at Kroger Food Stores for 25 years. She was a member of St. Josaphat Catholic Church and member of its Rosary-Altar Society. She was a past president of American Legion Post #439 Ladies Auxiliary. Rosemary enjoyed cooking, socializing, going to the Casino, going up north and especially her pet pug, Quinn. Surviving are two daughters, two sons and their spouses, Denis J. Gulliver, Orange City, Florida; Connie and Randy Martin, Pagosa Springs, Colorado; Deborah and Randy Reinert, Reese; Kevin Gulliver, Saginaw; seven grandchildren; five great-grandsons; one brother, Joseph and Elaine Novak, St. Charles; several nieces and nephews and a special friend Gina. Rosemary was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda McCloskey, her daughter-in-law, Johanna Gulliver, five sisters and five brothers, Mary Ploucha, Josephine Ursuy, Wilma Klein, Anne Rundel, Joan Stevens, Frank, Steve, Michael, John and Robert Novak. Honoring Mrs. Gulliver’s wishes cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place on Thursday, May 5, 2011 at 4:30 p.m. at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road (between Shattuck and McCarty). Rev. Fr. Ronald Dombrowski will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home where the family will be present on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Josaphat Catholic Church or American Cancer Society.
