Glick, Lawrence R., Saginaw, Michigan

Went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, after his passing on April 16, 2011. He was born in Saginaw on June 8, 1928 to the late Lawrence R. Glick, Sr. and Amalia (Roth) Glick. Larry married Marie J. Kutsch, of Saginaw, on October 16, 1948. His wife and sweetheart of 62 years survives him. He also leaves behind his three children, Molly (Mark) Ryder, Saginaw; Jeffrey (Evelia) Glick, Traverse City, and Ann Glick of Pompano Beach, Florida; grandchildren Kristen (Robert) Gray, Matthew (Sara) Miller, Adam Glick, Hannah Glick and Jessica (Levi) Dever; great-grandchildren Emily and Chloe Gray, Dylan Miller and granddog “Louie”. Larry was predeceased by his sisters, Jean Clarke, Marion (Thomas) Beckett and Dorothy Beckett. Also surviving are one brother, James (Rachel) Glick, Royal Oak; two brothers-in-law William Kutsch and James Beckett; a sister-in-law, Florence Uphoff; many nieces and nephews. Larry graduated from Arthur Hill High School in Saginaw in 1946. He served in the U. S. Naval Reserves for five years and then worked for General Electric Supply Company of Saginaw for 36 years, retiring in 1988. He was a faithful member of Peace Lutheran Church for many years. Dad, you are our rock, our hero and our angel on earth. You will be greatly missed. Funeral service will take place on Thursday, April 21, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road. Rev. Paul Hinz will officiate with entombment in Roselawn Mausoleum. Friends may call at the funeral chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a memorial may consider Peace Lutheran Church in Larry’s name or the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
