Frost, Marion L., Saginaw, Michigan

Loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend passed away Saturday, June 18, 2011 at the Cartwright Residence with her family at her side. Age 85 years. The daughter of the late Frederick and Alma (Gerth) Link was born December 2, 1925 in Saginaw, Michigan. Marion was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Court and Bond Sts. in Saginaw. She was a graduate of Arthur Hill High School. She married Allen M. Frost, November 2, 1946. He passed away April 7, 2004. She was employed by General Motors, Chevrolet Manufacturing Plant and later as the bookkeeper with her husband in their business, Mannion Brothers Hardware. She was a member of Bethany Ev. Lutheran Church, the Ladies of Bethany and had been active in the G.M. Girls Club. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards, her church and senior activities. With her husband, Marion enjoyed the time they spent at their cabin near West Branch. Surviving are five children and their spouses, Gary A. (Carol) Frost; Carolyn M. Frost; Rebecca L. Frost; Barbara L. (Don) Hull, all of Saginaw, MI; Brian J. (Anne) Frost, Freeland, MI; four grandchildren, Michelle Frost; Stacey (Ryan) Adams; Corey (Jason) Ostyn; Dustin Hull; four great grandchildren, Ainsley Adams; Regan Adams; Emersyn Ostyn; Cooper Ostyn; a sister, Lorraine (LaBelle) Knight, Arizona; two sisters-in-law, Ruth Archer; Ilene Frost; a brother-in-law, Robert Taylor; several nieces, nephews and beloved friends. She was predeceased a sister, Vera Hammerschmidt and four brothers, Edward, Walter, Fritz and John Link. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethany Ev. Lutheran Church, 5105 McCarty Road, Saginaw Township. Rev. Mark Lindloff will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday and then at the Church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
