Frank, Eleanor Alberta, Saginaw, Michigan

Well known community activist passed away Monday, March 14, 2011, at Bickford Cottage. Age 91 years. The daughter of the late Bessie (Harris) and Arthur DeGroat was born November 26, 1919 in Saginaw, Michigan. She married A.T. Frank. He passed away March 2, 1986. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. Eleanor was very active in the community, attending the Saginaw County Commission meetings, serving on several Boards, the P.T.A of Westdale School; Delta College and the 100 Group; and was instrumental in the formation of the Eleanor A. Frank Senior Citizen Center. Surviving are two sons, Thomas L. Frank; Robert L. Frank and his wife, Katrine; all of Saginaw; Five grandchildren and their spouses; A.T. and Dee Ann K. Frank; Robert A. and Laura Frank; Gregory J. and Rebecca Frank; Jane M. and Jeff Martin; Julie Lynn and Matt Rappley; four step-children, Jason DuPuis; Marissa DuPuis; Jeannette Warner; Lisa Craven and her husband John; many step-grandchildren and great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Two sons, James A., and Donald A. Frank, two sisters and one brother, Mary Dekette, Marcia Kasenberger and Donald A. DeGroat have predeceased her. The funeral service will take place on Thursday, March 17, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road. Rev. Kathryn S. Snedeker will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the Chapel from 11:00 a.m. Thursday until the time of the funeral service.
