Fielder, William J., Saginaw, Michigan

Passed away Friday, March 4, 2011, at Shattuck Manor. Age 84 years. The son of the late William and Genevieve (Walker) Fielder was born December 7, 1926 in Saginaw, Michigan. He served with the U.S. Army Air Corp during WWII, stationed in the Philippine Islands. He was employed by the City of Saginaw Fire Dept. retiring with 30 ½ years of service and was a member of the Fire Fighters Local #102. He was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and enjoyed fishing. Surviving are a daughter and son, Alisa Brewer, Washington State; David Fielder, New Jersey; several nieces and nephews. Two brothers, George Robert and Bert Fielder have predeceased him. The funeral liturgy will take place at noon Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 4735 W. Michigan Ave. Rev. John Johnson will officiate with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery where military honors will be under the auspices of VFW Post No. 1859. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday and then at the church from 11:00 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the funeral liturgy. Mr. Fielder’s family wish to thank the staff and caregivers of Shattuck Manor, Lutheran Home Care Agency, especially Heidi, and Dr. Mulpuri and her staff for their care and concern.
