Dupuis, Florette J. (Flo), Wixom Lake, Beaverton, Michigan


Passed away Sunday, April 10, 2011, at her home with her family at her side. Age 76 years. Flo was born on March 28, 1935, in Fennville, Mich. to the late Oscar and Flora (Martin) Cook. She was married to Russell L. Dupuis on April 5, 1982. He survives her. Flo had served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Prior to her retirement in 1993, she had worked as a computer operator at General Motors for 30 years. Surviving besides her husband, Russ, are five children and their spouses, Nan Dupuis, Freeland; Debbie (Bob) Schliska, Saginaw; Janine (Rick) Marchington, Beaverton; Ken (Bette) Dupuis, Freeland; Darrell (Julie) Dupuis, Freeland; four grandchildren, Jason Schliska; Melanie Dupuis; Justin and Kayla Marchington; six sisters and three brothers, Vivian (Carl) Palm, Grand Blanc; Bill (Donna) Cook, Naples, FL; Chuck Cook, Midland; Evonna (Roland) Smith, Wyoming, MI; Nancy Oliver, Waldrof, MD; Genevieve MacDonald, Saginaw; Wanda Wogaman, Lexington, S.C.; Earl Jay (Jeanne) Swank, Saginaw; Linda Foutch, Saginaw. She was predeceased by three brothers and three sisters. Funeral service will take place on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Wakeman Funeral Home, Inc., 1218 N. Michigan Ave., Saginaw. The Rev. Fr. Joseph A. Schabel will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family at the Wakeman Funeral Home, Inc. on Tuesday from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m., then on Wednesday from noon until the time of service.
