David, Kenneth A., Frankenlust Township, MI, Formerly of Saginaw, Michigan


Passed away suddenly while hunting with his son in Standish on Saturday, November 26, 2011.  Age 85 years.  Ken was born on June 2, 1926, in Carrollton, Michigan, to the late Albert and Alvira (Wende) David.  He married Dorothy E. Blakely on March 1, 1950, in Angola, IN and was blessed with 61 years together.  She survives him.  Ken had served in the U.S. Army Air Force during WWII in Italy, and was honorably discharged on February 7, 1947.  Prior to his retirement in 1990, Ken was a self-employed electrician for 41 years. (Ken David Electric)  He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Frankenlust, and also the Electrical Union #557.  Surviving besides his wife, Dorothy, are three children and their spouses, Kenneth A. (Carol) David, Standish; Kris (Alan) Marxhausen, Milaca, MN; Debra (John) Kelzer, Mayer, MN; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, F. Dale (Edith) David, Saginaw; several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his brother, Raymond David, and his sister, Mildred Jordan.  Funeral and committal services will take place on Thursday, December 1, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 6094 West Side Saginaw Road, (Frankenlust) Bay City. The Rev. Paul D. Theiss will officiate. Private burial will follow later in Holy Cross Lutheran Cemetery, Saginaw Township. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the Wakeman Funeral Home, Inc., 1218 N. Michigan Ave., on Wednesday, November 30 from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m., then at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
