Cooper, Willis D., Saginaw, Michigan

Loving husband, father, grandfather and friend passed away went to his eternal home with his Savior, Thursday, December 8, 2011. Age 81 years. The son of the late Isabelle (Wilber) and Charles C. Cooper was born February 1, 1930 in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Gertrude D. Kobs, May 16, 1953. She survives him. He was employed by Allen Supply Co. retiring in 1992. Willis was a member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church. Willis and Gertrude spent retirement living on Little Long Lake where they created special memories with loving friends. Willis enjoyed making stained glass, antiques and spending time with his grandchildren. Surviving besides his wife of fifty-eight years, Gertrude, are two children. Julie Renz and her husband Alan, Saginaw, MI; David Cooper, AZ; four grandchildren, Luke Morrell, Landon Cooper-Morrell, Lincoln Renz and Preston Renz. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Court and Bond Sts. Rev. William A. Brassow will officiate with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, from 2:00-5:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday and then at the Church from 10:00 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the funeral service.
