Clune, Donald James, Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away Saturday, July 23, 2011 at the Toni and Trish House in Auburn. Age 86 years. Son of the late McManus and Cecil (Michelin) Clune, Donald was born July 17, 1925 in Cheboygan, Michigan. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and was a member of American Legion Post #439. Donald married Lois R. Drury on October 16, 1948. She predeceased him June 11, 2011. Don was an insurance consultant for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Michigan for 33 years retiring in 1988 and the was employed by Valley United. He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and enjoyed golfing, hunting and photography. Surviving are two daughters, Linda M. and Don Willard, Elkhart, Indiana; Lisa C. and William Lennon Jr., Lansing, Michigan; five grandchildren, Kathy, Kristie, Kelly, James and Christian; four great-grandchildren; his sister, Louise C. and Patrick Dacey, Cheboygan, Michigan; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Liturgy will take place on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Randy Kelly will officiate. Military services will be conducted by American Legion Post #439 after Mass. Honoring Mr. Clunes wishes cremation will follow with private burial of cremains in St. Andrew Cemetery. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road, (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass. A Vigil Service will take place at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church or the Toni and Trish House.
