Clauss, James (Fuzzy), Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away Monday, June 13, 2011 at his home surrounded by his family following a lengthy illness. Age 67 years. The son of the late George and June (Walton) Clauss, Jim was born October 28, 1943 in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Sheryl S. Miller, his loving wife of nearly 32 years, on June 30, 1979. She survives him. Jim was employed at Saginaw Steering Gear from 1962-1992 and thoroughly enjoyed his retirement years. He was a lifelong hunter and avid fisherman. He enjoyed golfing, softball, bowling and archery. Jim was known for his wonderful smile, cheery disposition and caring ways. Surviving besides his wife Sheryl are two sons, one daughter and their spouses, James D. Clauss Jr. and his wife Kathy, Standish; Tony and Alycia Clauss, Croswell; Sara A. Clauss, St. Petersburg, Florida; six grandchildren, A.J., Kaitlyn, Morgan, James, Kelsey and Elizabeth; four brothers and one sister, George and Shirley Clauss, Rusty and Pat Clauss, Don Clauss, all of Hale; Wayne and Sandy Premo, Saginaw; Mary Ellen Robertson, Saginaw; many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, 4790 Gratiot Road in Saginaw. Rev. Kathy Snedeker will officiate with interment in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road, (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at First United Methodist Church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the A.L.S. Foundation.
