Bryan, James P., Saginaw Township, Michigan

Beloved father and grandfather passed away Sunday, August 7, 2011 at his home. Age 81 years. The son of the late Thomas and Estelle (Page) Bryan, James was born on April 27, 1930 in Saginaw, Michigan. He was married to Gloria Karbowski on May 16, 1953. She predeceased him on April 23, 2011. He served in the Army Corp of Engineers from 1951 to 1953. Jim had been employed by Spicer Engineering Company and retired as a Senior Inspector on April 30, 1992 after 42 years of service. He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and American Legion Post #439. Jim enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, yard work and walking. Surviving are a daughter and a son, Maureen Ann and Bradley Ward, Lake Orion; Patrick James Bryan, Prospect, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Steven and Jennifer Ward, and Jamie Bryan; a brother and two sisters, William Bryan, Yvonne Robinson and Sr. Thomas Estelle, O.P. Jim was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister, John Bryan, Thomas Bryan, Patrick Bryan and Estelle Ederer. Honoring Mr. Bryan’s wishes cremation has taken place. Funeral Liturgy will take place on Thursday, August 11, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Randy Kelly will officiate. Friends may call at the church where the family will be present from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
