Brethauer, Beverly I., Saginaw, Michigan

Went home to be with the Lord early Wednesday, May 11, 2011. Age 72 years. Beverly Isabelle Goulder was born February 10, 1939 in Carney, Michigan, the daughter of the late Lulu (Allen) and Rufus Goulder. She owned Bev’s Canery, specializing in caning and upholstering furniture. She worked at the Antique Warehouse for the past 29 years and was a member of the Saginaw Valley Antique Society. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church. She was devoted to her family and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening. She married Keith Palmer who predeceased her in 1979. She later married Clarence Brethauer who predeceased her in 1995. Surviving are her fiancé, David Reinert, and his family; two sons and two daughters, Keith Palmer Jr., Kelly (Jodi) Palmer, Holly VanGuilder, and Lori (Nick) Duro; seven grandchildren, John, Jennifer, Rachael, Kevin, Conley, Michael and Jacob; three sisters, Maxine (John) Smith, Ginger (Bill) Dryslick; Janet Herline; a sister-in-law, Margaret Steep; a brother-i-law, Jack (Louise) Palmer; many nieces, nephews and their families; and her many dear friends at the Antique Warehouse. She was predeceased by a son, Kevin James Palmer, one brother, Junior Waite, and one sister, Minnie Booker. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church, 3427 Adams Ave. Rev. C. William Weis will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Her family will receive friends at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Road, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, and then at church on Saturday from10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
