Bremer, Florence Helen, Saginaw, Michigan

A Christian woman with a strong belief in God passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at St. Mary’s Hospital. Age 75 years. She was devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Florence was born November 13, 1935, in Saginaw, the daughter of the late Thomas R. “Howard” and Helen Louise (Spencer) Dyer. She married Charles B. Bremer, September 18, 1964. He survives her. She was a member of Community of Christ Church. Florence loved music, sang as a soloist and with her family. She was active in Community Theater at Pit and Balcony; was an excellent dancer, known for dancing the Jitterbug and the Twist. She volunteered with the P.T.A, the Girl Scouts and was a mixed doubles bowling champion. Surviving besides her husband, Charles, are four children and their spouses, Donna Wagner; Don and Jessica Bremer; Jill and Mike Higgins; Cathy and Tim Lang; nine grandchildren, Shea Verdoux and her husband Jacob; Amanda and Jessica Wagner; Zachari and Cole Bremer; Jana and Ashley Higgins; Lindsay and Lexi Lang; two great grandchildren, Sebastien and Jayden Verdoux; two sisters, one brother and their spouses, Bonnie and David Blake; Sandy and Duane Hill; Carl and Hazel Smith; several nieces and nephews; her special friend and neighbor Ruby Sparling. A sister, Patsy Ann Dyer, has predeceased her. The funeral service will take place on Monday, July 11, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Community of Christ Church, 300 N. Center Road, Saginaw. Elders Patricia and Bobby Hardin will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, from 1:00-4:00 and 6:00-9:00 Sunday and then at the Church from Noon Monday until the time of the funeral service.
