Boswell, Marion M., Saginaw, Michigan

Loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away Saturday, September 24, 2011 at the Cartwright Hospice Residence. Age 90 years. The daughter of the late Alfred and Martha (Gilles) Peters, Marion was born January 20, 1921 in Saginaw, Michigan. She was married to Robert L. Boswell on November 25, 1939. He predeceased her December 8, 1999. Marion was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, a Eucharistic Minister and a greeter at the church. She was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Council # 4232 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed square dancing, traveling and her lifelong club members. Surviving are one daughter, five sons and their spouses, Kathy Boswell Campbell and her husband Colin, West Covina, California; Larry and Karen Boswell, Saginaw; Rick and Vivian Boswell, South Carolina; Terry and Gail Boswell, Saginaw; Mark and Roxann Boswell, Saginaw; Chris and Kelly Boswell, Saginaw; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; her sister, Norine VanDrie, East Lansing; many nieces and nephews. Marion was preceded in death by her son, Gordon Boswell, and one granddaughter, Thereasa Boswell. Funeral Liturgy will take place on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at noon at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Randy Kelly will officiate with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road, (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until time of Mass. The Knights of Columbus Council #4232 Ladies Auxiliary will pray the Rosary at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday and a Vigil Service will take place at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
