Boese, Ralph N., Saginaw, Michigan

Went home to be with his Lord and Savior on October 15, 2011 at his home, surrounded by his family. Age 93. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Elva (Gerard) Boese. He was born in Springfield S. Dakota to Peter and Anna(Schultz) Boese. Ralph came to Michigan at the age of 19 and farmed for many years with his brothers. He then worked for 30 years as a Food Service Plant Manager for the Grant Sysco Company retiring in 1983. He was an excellent wood worker and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. Ralph was a faithful member of Immanuel Bible Church where he served as a treasurer, children's church worker, and was involved in the Missions Program. Surviving are his children, Teri (Vincent) Cox, Beverly (John) Coates, Diane (Peter) Croisant, Robert (Mary) Boese, and Glenn (Linnea) Boese. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, his brothers Milton (Martha) Boese, and Donald (Rose) Boese. His sisters Huldah (Floyd) Gerard, Norma (Wilmer) Warner, and Evelyn (Reuben) Ewert. He was predeceased by his son Daniel (Dixie) Boese, his grandson Eric Cox, his great grandson Jonathon Boese, and his twin sisters Ardis (Mickey) Wolfe and Phyllis (Neil) Boltman. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. at W. L. Case & Company Funeral Home, 4480 Mackinaw Road, with Dr. Mark Hazen officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Friday, October 21, 2011 at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and at 12:30 p.m. Saturday until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Immanuel Bible Church or the City Rescue Mission of Saginaw.
