Berger, Randy M., Saginaw, Michigan

Passed away suddenly Sunday, February 13, 2011, at St. Mary’s of Michigan. Age 58 years. Randy was born June 22, 1952, in Saginaw, the son of the late Walter and Betty (Dinninger) Berger. He graduated from Saginaw High School with the Class of 1970. He served with the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He attended the Delta College Apprenticeship Program. He had been employed as a machine repairman with Wright – K Technologies for the past 36 years. Randy enjoyed shopping and was an avid coupon clipper. He also enjoyed the computer. He married Ruth LaBeau August 9, 1980; she survives him. He also leaves two sons, Eric Berger, Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Adam Berger, Saginaw; two brothers, Michael (Robin) Berger, Dearborn, and Robert Berger, Saginaw; his mother-in-law, Alice LaBeau; one sister-in-law, Christine (James) Goodrow; several nieces and nephews; many aunts, uncles and cousins. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Timothy Berger, and his father-in-law, Dale LaBeau. Funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 17, 2011, at the W.L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, where his family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, and 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, and then on Thursday from 12:00 noon until the time of service. Rev. Douglas Kahl will officiate. Military honors will be under the auspices of the Carrollton VFW Post # 1859.
