Yaksic, Ellen Christine (Lindfors), Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, and niece, passed away early Saturday, July 03, 2010, at her home with her family at her side. Age 64 years. Ellen Christine Lindfors was born July 6, 1945, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and grew up in Chatham, Michigan. She received her Bachelor of Education from Michigan State University and taught for several years. She retired from the Delta College Bookstore. She was an active member of Messiah Lutheran Church, serving on its Board of Education and working with the Vacation Bible School. She was an avid gardener. She married Dusan P. Yaksic on June 19, 1970, celebrating 40 years of marriage two weeks ago. He survives her. She also leaves three sons, Andrew and Jessica Yaksic, Brighton; Anthony and Megan Yaksic, Fenton; David Yaksic and Desiree Bable, Grand Blanc; three sisters, Loraine and Augie Ferrara, Braintree, Massachusetts; Jane Hansen, Marquette, Michigan; Connie and Dan Hanrahan, Holt, Michigan; nieces and nephews, Amanda, Michael, Lisa, Emily, Maureen, Meghan, Natalie and Jonny; one brother-in-law, Juan and June Yaksic, and one sister-in-law, Filma Siles, and their families; two uncles and one aunt, Lloyd Miller, Bob Kruhmin and Dorothy Kruhmin; several other relatives. Funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2010, at Messiah Lutheran Church, 4640 N. Michigan Ave., Saginaw, Michigan. Her family will receive friends at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 6, 2010, and then at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
