Loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend passed away suddenly Sunday, January 3, 2010, at Covenant – Cooper. Age 77 years. He was born July 15, 1932 in Bay County, the son of the late Hazel (Bloomer) and William Wesener Sr. He graduated from Saginaw High School in 1951. He served with the US Navy. He retired from General Motors on February 1, 1989, after 35 years of service. He had raised horses for many years and was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association, the Michigan Quarter Horse Association and the Tri-County Quarter Horse Association. He was a member of the Community of Christ Church. He was also a member of the St. Charles Lodge #313, F. & A.M. He enjoyed gardening, yard work, bird watching, carpentry and going to casinos. He married Glenda (Premo) Wesener on September 27, 1952; she predeceased him October 13, 1994, after 42 years of marriage. He later married Patricia (Bell) Kushion on November 25, 2000; she survives him. He also leaves children, Glenn (Becky) Wesener and Wendy (Scott) Bierman, Hemlock; Michael Wesener, Oakland Park, FL; stepchildren, Andrew (Sally) Kushion, Saginaw; Annette Weisbarth, St. Charles; April (Dan) Fulara, Brooklyn; grandchildren, Matthew (Melissa) Wesener, Brian (Trish) Wesener, Heather and Adam Kushion, Zachary and Ali Weisbarth, Alona Kushion, Bobby, Chris and Bianca Fulara; great-grandchildren, Gabe, Luke, Nathan, Cole and Tanner; six sisters, Janis (Bob) White, Jeannette Tagget, Geraldine (Robert) Farlow, Florence (Robert) Plummer, Wilma Hinson, Patricia (Donald) Eaton; many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; many nieces, nephews and their families. Besides his parents and first wife, he was also predeceased by two sisters, Hazel Wegner and Marjorie Myers; six brothers, Donald, Lloyd, Francis, Lawrence, Robert and Kenneth Wesener; and infant twin siblings. Funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 6, 2010, at the Community of Christ Church, 300 N. Center Road. Rev. James Baird will officiate. Committal services will take place at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Cook Cemetery, Taymouth Township. His family will receive friends at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Road, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and then at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
