Beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away Monday, October 25, 2010 at St. Mary’s of Michigan Medical Center. Age 74 years. The daughter of the late Charles and Madeline (Stelter) LaFramboise, Gail was born October 24, 1936 in Zilwaukee, Michigan and was a lifelong resident. She married Neil Welling, her loving husband of 56 years, on July 10, 1954. He survives her. Gail was employed as Deputy City Clerk and Treasurer for the City of Zilwaukee for many years until her retirement in 1998. She was an active member of St. Matthew Catholic Church and its Altar Society. Gail enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling and spending time with her family. Surviving besides her husband Neil are two sons and two daughters, Neil Welling Jr., Zilwaukee; Kevin and Kristi Welling, Holland, Michigan; Kari Breece, Zilwaukee; Kris Welling and Danelle Pashak, Bay City; eight grandchildren, Brandon (Holly) Schaffner, Jordan and Sommer Welling, Alyssa; Charles, Andrew, Matthew and Autumn Breece; a great-grandson due in December, Braydon Schaffner; three sisters and one brother, Marilyn Kuebler, Charles (Sue) LaFramboise, Patricia (Gilbert) Tomczak; Marsha Gunlock and Sandi Bedtelyon; several nieces and nephews; many dear friends including Imogene Wallaert; Gail’s dog, Princess. Gail was preceded in death by one sister and one brother, Audrey Ruggles and Bruce LaFramboise. Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 29, 2010 at St. Matthew Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Ronald Dombrowski will officiate with burial in St. Andrew Cemetery. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road, (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at St. Matthew Catholic Church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass. A Vigil Service, led by Sister Janet Pewoski, C.S.J., will take place at 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
