Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt passed away early Saturday, September 11, 2010, at Covenant - Harrison. Age 86 years. Anna Mae Hill was born August 19, 1924, in Providence, Rhode Island, growing to adulthood in Virginia. She married Grover Lee Welborn March 29, 1948; he predeceased her October 13, 1996. They made their home in Michigan since 1969. She had retired from Wickes Lumber in 1980 after 15 years of service. She was a member of the Merrill Congregational Church. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, and also taught classes. She also enjoyed painting. Surviving are three daughters and one son, Linda (Dennis) Schweitzer, Sebewaing; twins: Marie Krotzer, Sanford, and Bruce (Laura) Welborn, Freeland; Donna (Ken) Kelley, Hemlock; six grandchildren, Deborah (Kevin) Barnum, Andrew Riddle, Edward (Karlene) Riddle, Susan (Raymond Jr.) Krotzer, Stephanie (Matt) Hatch, Grover Lee Kelley; six step-grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and their families. She was predeceased by two grandchildren, Kenneth Lee Kelley, Jr. and James Lee Crawford; one step-great-granddaughter; one step-great-great-grandson; one sister, Betty Wiggins, and one brother, Robert Hill. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 14, 2010, at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 125 E. Saginaw St., Merrill, where her family will receive friends from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Rev. Richard Gossett will officiate with burial in the Midland Memorial Gardens.
