Tietz, Arnold L. (Lee) Black River, MI, Formerly of Saginaw, MI

Beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away Monday, August 30, 2010 at his home. Age 67 years. Son of the late Arnold and Edna (Damm) Tietz, Arnold was born August 16, 1943 in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Mary Ann Shay on August 22, 1964. She survives him. Lee was a Union Painter retiring in 2005. Lee was a member of Harrisville United Methodist Church and was the past president of Springport Golf League. Lee was involve in coaching for over 20 years starting with Saginaw Township Boystown League, coach 7th and 8th grade at St. Thomas Aquinas School and then on to the freshman boys and girls basketball at Douglas McArthur High School. He enjoyed golfing. Surviving besides his wife Mary are two sons and one daughter, Bob Tietz, Louisiana; Jill Tietz, Saginaw; Mark Tietz and his wife Yvette, Romeo; four grandchildren, Brandon, Nicholas, Tyler and Sydney Tietz; his sister, Verla Welflin, Tuson, Arizona; several nieces and nephews. Lee was preceded in death by his sister, Onalee Surian. Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 3, 2010 at First United Methodist Church, 4790 Gratiot, Saginaw, Michigan. Rev. Kathryn Snedeker will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road (between Shattuck and McCarty) where the family will be present on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at First United Methodist Church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
