Sullivan, Alice V., Saginaw, Michigan

Passed away Sunday, February 14, 2010, at Covenant – Cooper. Age 77 years. Alice V. McDowell was born February 23, 1932 in Twining, Michigan, the daughter of the late Audley and Vera (Brown) McDowell. She had been employed by General Motors Corporation for 20 years, retiring in January of 1988. She had been an active member of St. Andrew Catholic Church, working on funeral luncheons and the Christmas Bazaar. She enjoyed growing roses. She married Emerson Sullivan on September 5, 1986; he predeceased her May 9, 2002. Surviving are two sons, one daughter and their spouses, Roy (Gayla) Moore, Gladwin; Robert (Theresa) Moore, and Nancy (John) Kotch, all of Saginaw; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a sister, Violet Southworth, Lake Orion. She also had a sister Cora. Funeral service will take place at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 17, 2010, at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, where her family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. Wednesday until the time of service. Rev. Fr. Ron Wagner will officiate with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider St. Andrew Catholic Church.
