Smith, Olive M., Chandler, AZ, Formerly of Saginaw, MI

Passed away July 15, 2010 after a long illness. She was born 86 years ago in Mio, Michigan one of ten children born to Burton and Ella Smith. She is survived by two daughters and their husbands: Sheryl (Harry) Martin and Randa (Chris) Campbell of Arizona, two sisters: Iola Schultz and Gay Wellman of Michigan and many nieces and nephews. She was married for 38 years to Dr. Eugene J. Smith who died in 1982. They had a loving marriage filled with many friends. They enjoyed dancing and golfing on Friday nights at the Saginaw Country Club with the Imermans, the Shaheens, the Goldbergers, the Hazens and others. Several afternoons a week she was playing bridge and having lunch at the Club. She took great pleasure in being engaged with others and was a true friend, sharing in their joys and sorrows. Mrs. Smith loved animals and all things beautiful, whether they were flowers, clothes, homes or jewels. Her last years were spent in Chandler, Arizona so she could be close to her daughters. She will be greatly missed.
