Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt passed away early Monday, June 14, 2010, at Covenant - Cooper, following a lengthy illness. Age 79 years. Charlotte Elizabeth Sauve was born May 17, 1931 in Bay City, the daughter of the late Laurence and Esther (Ross) Sauve. She married Paul Lionel Scott on May 10, 1984; he predeceased her April 4, 1985. She enjoyed playing the lottery, reading the newspaper, doing crosswords and word-search, and watching Lawrence Welk. Surviving are six children, Jacqueline (Nelson, deceased) Bond, Caseville, Norman (Betty) Shephard, Columbus, Indiana, Suzanne (Michael) DeBeau, Lapeer, Nanette (Leonard) Oorbeck, Florida, Cheryl Scott (Ernie Sears), Rose City, and Lawrence (Kimberly) Lyter, Saginaw; 20 grandchildren: Robin, Nelson, Todd, Rodney, Rhonda, James, Robert, Paula, Brian, Lisa, Dennis, Scott, Tracey, Michael, Dana, Paul, Monica, Becky, Dale and Dawn; 49 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Carol Lange and Clara Adams; many nieces, nephews, and their families; a special little helper, Mallory Campbell, her “Cookie Monster.” She was preceded in death by three grandchildren, Robert James, Brian and Johnny; two sisters, Catherine Ventimeglia and Caron Vereeke; and a step-son, Dale Scott Sr. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 18, 2010, at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, where friends may call from 9:00 a.m. Friday until the time of service. Private committal services will take place later in Oakridge Cemetery, Bay City. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the family’s wishes.
