Schultz, Duane Robert, Saginaw Township, Michigan

Beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away Saturday, April 24, 2010 at his home. Age 77 years. Duane was born September 8, 1932 in Saginaw, Michigan. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He married Shirley Jean Acker his loving wife of 54 years on April 7, 1956. She survives him. Duane was employed at AT&T as a PBX repairman. He was a member of the Catholic Faith. Duane enjoyed computers, E-Bay and gardening. Surviving besides his wife Shirley are one daughter, three sons and their spouses, Christopher Schultz, Phoenix, Arizona; Lisa Zak and her fiancé Wayne Jacob, Oregon, Ohio; Joel and Jennifer Schultz, Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina; Gregory and Cristina Schultz, Ann Arbor; two grandsons, Alexander and Nicholas Zak; several nieces, nephews and special friends. Duane was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Alan Schultz and his brother, Melvin Schultz. A Memorial Service will take place at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road (between Shattuck and McCarty). Rev. Fr. Richard Jozwiak will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home where the family will be present on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to ALS.
