Schnell, Dale A., Saginaw, Michigan

Passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2010, at Bay Regional Medical Center with his family at his side. He was 83 years old. Dale A. Schnell was born on August 25, 1927, in Saginaw, to the late Arnold and Edna (Reidel) Schnell. He married Ruby Ann Dupree on April 28, 1950; she preceded him in death on April 12, 2008.  Dale proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was employed by Henry Electric, Rems Corporation, and Hamilton Electric, retiring after many years of service. Throughout his life, Dale was a professional musician; music was his passion, especially big band music. One of the many joys in his life was watching his children and grandchildren play and perform, continuing his passion for music.  Surviving are three daughters and a son: Ann (Robert) Graves of White Cloud, Kathy (John) Southern of Bay City, Kurt (Patrice) Schnell of Bay City, and Laura (Roger) Klump of Sterling Heights; ten grandchildren; one great granddaughter; two sisters-in-law; a brother-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.  Following Dale’s wishes cremation has taken place. A graveside Memorial Service will take place at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, 950 N. Center Road. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the American Heart Association or to the American Cancer Society.
