Beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away September 6, 2010. Age 61 years. The son of Anne (Rychel) Rovoll and the late George Rovoll, Greg was born December 6, 1948 in Saginaw, Michigan. To those who surrounded him at the time of his passing, he showed the meaning of courage and strength in the face of adversity. He married Christine (Moore) Rovoll on August 10, 1998. Greg was a proud 1978 graduate of Central Michigan University. He was employed at Delphi as a manager of Quality Assurance for 31 years retiring in 2009. Greg was a board member of the American Society for Quality Control, a certified Quality Engineer and earned a Master of Science in Quality from Eastern Michigan University. He was a car enthusiast and sports fan especially for CMU football, the Tigers and Pistons. Greg was a coach for little league baseball, enjoyed spending time with his canine companion, Tucker and was a manager and mentor for many. Survivors include his wife Christine; and step-daughter Ashley Parker, Kalamazoo; four children, Mark Rovoll (Bethany), Midland; Melissa Larson (Jason), Raleigh, North Carolina; Matthew Rovoll, Burt; Kristen Rovoll, Tampa, Florida; and their mother Christine (Kopchitz) Rovoll; four grandchildren, Hannah, Samuel, Aiden and Juliana; his mother, Anne Rovoll, Bay City; his sister, Connie Ryan (Bill), Reese; several nieces and nephews; and many brother and sister-in-laws. Gregory’s Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 9, 2010 at St. Christopher Catholic Church, Bridgeport. Rev. Fr. John Mancini, OSFS, will officiate with entombment in Mt. Olivet Mausoleum. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road, (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at St. Christopher Catholic Church on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. A Vigil Service will take place at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
