Robinson Sr., Bernard Lee, Saginaw, Michigan

Passed away Friday, January 8, 2010, at Covenant Cooper. Age 84 years.  The son of the late Horace and Mildred (Hunkins) Robinson was born July 19, 1925 in Saginaw, Michigan.  He married Shirley Bindon, who predeceased him. He later married Helen L. Ecker, December 1, 1990. She survives him. He served with the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was employed by General Motors, retiring in 11987 with over 40 years of service.  He was a member of the Salina-Pioneer Lodge # 79 F. & A.M; The Elf Khurafeh Shrine, a member of The Jesters, The Bay City Consistory and the Eastern Star.  He was a member of the V.F.W. Post #9809.  Surviving besides his wife, Helen, are a son, two daughters, Bernard  Robinson Jr. and his wife Ruth, Hemlock, MI; Patricia and Kent Frances, Owosso, MI; Julia Garrison, Bay City, MI; two step-sons, John and Janice Wood, Saginaw, MI; Dale and Betty Gast, Hickory, NC; ten grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.  One brother, four sisters have predeceased him.  The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 12, 2010, at Countryside Trinity Church 4690 Weiss Rd. Saginaw.  Rev. Kenneth R. Parker will officiate with Military entombment in Oakwood Mausoleum under the auspices of V.F.W. Post # 1859. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel 4480 Mackinaw Rd. from 3:00-5:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Monday. V.F.W. Post 9809 will conduct a memorial at 7:00 p.m. and the Salina-Pioneer  Lodge # 79 F &A.M. will conduct a Masonic memorial service at 7:30 p.m. Friends may then call at the church from 10:00 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the funeral service.
