Richards, Violet V. (Miller), Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister and aunt passed away Monday morning, December 6, 2010, at Saginaw Geriatrics Home. Age 89 years. Violet V. Stephen was born May 10, 1921, in Saginaw, the daughter of the late Bertha E. (Jeunemann) and Herman Stephen. She married Robert W. Miller July 3, 1937; he predeceased her November 1, 1959. She later married Robert Richards in 1969; he predeceased her February 20, 1979. She loved cooking, music, and also enjoyed playing cards at Saginaw Geriatrics Home. Surviving are three children, Robert W. Miller Jr. (Denise), Curtis, Michigan; Carl D. Miller (Judy), Saginaw; Janet Kinne (Duane), Birch Run; one step-son, Robert Richards, Saginaw; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, June Feldotte and Evelyn Smith; several nieces, nephews and their families. She was predeceased by four brothers, Herman, William, John and Edward Stephen. Funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 9, 2010, at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, where her family will receive friends at from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, and then from 9:00 a.m. Thursday until the time of service. Pastor Ronald L. Sinclair will officiate with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider Saginaw Geriatrics Home Patient Recreation Fund.
