Joseph J. Raymond passed away suddenly Thursday, March 11, 2010 in Naples Florida. Age 81 years. Son of the late Joseph and Dolores (Buling) Raymond Sr., Joseph was born September 19, 1928 in Cleveland, Ohio. Joe served as a captain in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War and was a member of American Legion Post #439. He married Margaret (Maggie) Curley, his loving wife of 57 years on April 19, 1952. Joe is survived by his beloved wife Maggie, devoted father of Margaret (Maggie) Costantini (Mike), Elizabeth (Betsy) Hurd (Tony), Philip (Tracey), Timothy (Elin), Bernadette, Mary K. Willis (Don) and preceded in death by his son, Joseph J. Raymond (Cindy). Cherished grandfather of Michael and Thomas Costantini, Joseph IV and Mia Raymond, Anthony, Sarah, Nicholas and Daniel Hurd, Philip and Erin Raymond, Connor, Ryan and Clare Willis; his sisters, Dolores Lisy (Thomas), Sister Mary Jean Raymond; his brother John (Cheryl); many wonderful nieces and nephews throughout the United States. He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council #4232. Joe will be remembered as a man who loved God, his family and his country. Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Randy Kelly will officiate. Burial will take place in St. Andrew Cemetery with Military Honors conducted by American Legion Post #439. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road (between Shattuck and McCarty) where the family will be present on Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass. The Knights of Columbus Council #4232 will pray the Rosary at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday and a Vigil Service will take place at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
