Loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, passed away Thursday, August 12, 2010. Elaine was the daughter of Hulda and Horace Moore, and was born on March 14, 1922 in Saginaw, Michigan. She graduated from Arthur Hill High School, and married her beloved husband, Norman N. Pettis, on June 22, 1940. Elaine and Norman celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary this year. Besides her husband, she also leaves two children, Ruth Ann (Ronald) Sny, and Michael E. (Connie) Pettis, along with her six grandchildren, Laura (Doug) Breault, Scott (Melissa) Wruck, Frank Wruck, Heather (Scott) Delgado, Robert (Christina) Pettis, Michelle (David) Moldenhauer, twelve great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Elaine was a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church. Elaine always enjoyed traveling, planning trips, and spending her winters in Florida. Her family and friends will always remember her passion for recipe books, and loving to cook. She will be especially missed by her family for her wonderful Christmas cookies. Funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 14, 2010, at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, where her family will receive friends from 12:00 noon on Saturday until the time of service. Rev. Dr. Robert L. Emrich will officiate.
