Loundy L. Parth went to be with the Lord, February 20, 2010 at 1:20 p.m. at Healthsource of Saginaw, age 96 years.  Loundy was born in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan November 21, 1913 the son of the late Joseph and Mertie (Grove) Parth.  He spent his childhood on the farm in Frankentrost.  The family moved to James Township where they farmed until both of his parents passed away.  Loundy married Leota Cunningham in 1929.  She predeceased him in 1991.  In June, 1992 he married Florence Powlus and she survives him.  Loundy worked for Mr. Lash in Aluminum products, roll-up awnings, etc.  After Mr. Lash passed away, Loundy bought the business and ran it for many years.  Loundy was a very faithful and active member of Community Baptist Church.  He contributed for many years to several Christian colleges.  In addition to his wife, Loundy is survived by two nieces, Laura (Steve) Hilton and Rachel (Ted) Warner; three great-nephews; five great-nieces, all of Arkansas and eight step-children.  He was predeceased by two sisters, Irene Johnson and Janice Price.  The funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 25, 2010 at W. L. Case & Company,  201 N. Miller Road.  Rev. Dr. Douglas Jackson will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.  Friends may visit with the family at the chapel on Wednesday from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.  Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a donation to Community Baptist Church or the Saginaw City Rescue Mission.
