Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister passed away Thursday, October 7, 2010. Age 69 years. The daughter of the late Genaro and Ramona (Luna) Juarez, Cruz was born September 1, 1941 in Laredo, Texas. She married Pedro (Pete) Palomo Jr. on April 11, 1959. He survives her. Cruz was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Cruz and Pete served as foster parents for Boysville for over 20 years. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo and going to the casinos. Surviving besides her husband Pete are six sons, Pedro and Kelly Palomo, Saginaw; Ricardo and Nanette Palomo, Indiana; Joseph Palomo, David Palomo, Joseph Parker, and Joshua Parker, all of Saginaw; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three brothers and two sisters, Genaro Juarez, Helena Juarez, Frank (Amelia) Juarez, Anita Cerda, Lupe (Rosa) Juarez; a special cousin, Adela Mendoza; many nieces and nephews. Cruz was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Marie Antoinette Palomo, and by three brothers and one sister, Ray, Leo and Tony Juarez and Lucy Perez. Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Frank Voris, O.F.M., Cap., will officiate with burial in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road, (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Monday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass. There will be a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
