Beloved husband, father and grandpa passed away Friday, November 19, 2010 at his home. Age 78 years. The son of the late Bernard and Anna (Shaft) Ofstedal, Buck was born June 27, 1932 in Banrcoft, Michigan. He married Geraldine Pittman, his loving wife of 59 years, on October 20, 1951. She survives him. Buck served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a member of V.F.W. Post #1566. He was a member of Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church and the Moose Family Center #82. Buck enjoyed his cottage at Big Bear Lake, wintering in Florida, hunting, fishing, antiquing and playing cards. Surviving besides his wife Geri are two daughters and their spouses, Dixie and Barry Stoklosa, Strausburg, Virginia; Dawn and Larry Waldie, Saginaw; a son-in-law, Michael Ducham and his wife Martha and their daughter, Michelle; his grandchildren, Heather Khanna, Holly Ducham and her fiancé Ron, Brei (Garett) Wilson, Jacindia Stokolsa, Dana Waldie and Marina Waldie; three great-grandchildren, Nayan, Talin and Ruhie Khanna; two sisters, Caroline and Sam Graham, Lansing; Yvonne Mey, Florida; several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Buck was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Ducham, and by one brother and two sisters, Dale Ofstedal, Shirley LaValley and Betty Bell. Buck’s family extends their gratitude and appreciation to all who supported him during this difficult time. Honoring Buck’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. John R. Johnson will officiate. Friends may call SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church where the family will be present on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Ss.
