Passed away at her home with her family by her side on Friday, October 29, 2010. Age 74 years. Carol married Joseph Vincent O'Rourke on October 2, 1954 in Brooklyn, NY and they have resided in Saginaw, MI since 1971. Carol was not "born again" as she felt the first time was good enough. She proved that over and over throughout her life by walking on a path of Christian Kindness and Love that we will try to replicate with her memory. Carol was a lover of people, animals, art & music and she shared her love with everyone that she met and those who knew her. Those who already knew her where enriched by that experience. Left behind to remember her life & love is her cherished husband of 56 years, Joseph Vincent O'Rourke; her four children and their spouses, William O'Rourke, Susan O'Rourke (Zig Zeitler), Donna "Erin" O'Rourke Martinak (James Sage) and John O'Rourke (Sherry Currell) ; her grandchildren and their spouses that she loved so much, Steven (Courtney), Michael (Lisa), Nicole, Hannah, Addie, Joseph, Landen, Amber, Alanah, Zachary, David (Nikki); great-grandchildren, Haley, Owen, Oliver, Kendall and one great-granddaughter on the way, Kaylin Rae; her youngest brother, Gordon Bayne, New Jersey; her niece Linda Campbell Weitz; also a host of other nieces and nephews that she loved so much and many people in her circle of extended family and friends, as she considered many of her friends to be family, including her closest friend of countless years, Barb Adams Christie; and her lifelong friends and in-laws, Joan Bayne, Jim (Jean) O'Rourke and Theresa O'Rourke. As she is mourned here by those she left behind, she is Greeted with Shouts of Joy by her family that have gone ahead of us, her mother & father, Helen and Harold Bayne; her beloved siblings, John Hamble Bayne and Joan Bayne Campbell; her grandparents, aunts and uncles that all helped to raise her to be the loving person that she was throughout her entire life certainly rejoice to receive her among them. There will be a Gathering and Celebration of her life that all are invited to attend at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, November 7, 2010 at the White Crow Conservatory of Music, 3736 Mackinaw Road, Saginaw. A short memorial followed by a potluck, laughter and music just as she wanted. Arrangements entrusted to the Evans-Smith Funeral Home, 508 S.
