Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt passed away on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at her home, with her family at her side. She was 81 years old. Delphine Cisneros was born on August 20, 1929 in Wisner Township, Tuscola County, to the late Luis and Maria (Perez) Cisneros. She married Edward Nowak on December 29, 1982. He preceded her in death on November 29, 2000. Delphine was a member of St. Joseph and St. Casmir/George Catholic Church and enjoyed attending Mass and Novena’s to Our Lady of Guadalupe. She found great strength in praying the Rosary and reading her Bible. Delphine was a giving and generous person and shared her faith in many ways. She was a Eucharistic minister at Covenant HealthCare and in her parish, a Dama de Guadalupe, a Cursillista, a lecture, and a Carmalite. She was also a member of La Rondalla. Delphine enjoyed playing her guitar and above all spending time with her family and many friends. Left to cherish her memory are two daughters and three sons: Diane (John) Mulvaney of Midland, Manuel (Edith) Isquierdo of Arizona, Ed Isquierdo of Reese, Chris Isquierdo of Saginaw, and Delphine Marie (Rick) Coules of Fraser; grandchildren: John Brian (Olga) Mulvaney, Matt (Christine) Mulvaney, Elizabeth (Clint) Garcia, Christian (Heather) Isquierdo, Michael, Hannah, Samatha and Robert Isquierdo, Bridget (Todd) Smith, Tina (Vic) Breinager, Casie (Brent) Pickle, Kelly, Sarah, Isaiah and Israel Isquierdo, Brandy Kenyon, Jaclyn (Travis) Allor, Erik (Sandee) Coules, Kristyn, Lauryn and Trevor Coules, Carolyn (Nathan) Mikula; great-grandchildren: Caroline, Renee, Derek, Dylan, Veronica, Tyler, Chay, Ari Terese, Grace, Ella, Claire, Faith, Jazline, Savon, Alyssa and Isabella; seven siblings: Carmen Lopez, Beatrice Furtaw, Francis (Joe) Solis, Mary (Albert) Ramirez, John Cisneros, Gloria Hernandez, and Lupe Leal and many cherished nieces, nephews and special friends. She was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister: Elias Cisneros, Manuel Cisneros, Treno Cisneros, and Mary Vera Cruz. Delphine’s Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 30, 2010 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 910 N. 6th Ave. Rev. Fr. Reginaldo Salcedo will officiate. Rite of Committal will follow with entombment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Road (off State) on Sunday, August 29, 2010 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on Monday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. A Vigil Service will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday evening. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Delphine Nowak so that the family can distribute them to the many charities and organizations she held near and dear to her heart.
