Minnich, James F., Saginaw, Michigan

Passed away Monday, October 25, 2010, at St. Mary’s Hospital. Age 82 years. The son of the late Beatrice (Shomper) and Harold Minnich was born April 2, 1928 in Tower City, PA. He married Jean Slingwine, Feb 1, 1948. His wife of 62 years survives him. He served with the U.S. Navy and retired from CSX Rail Road with thirty-three years of service. He enjoyed going to the casino, gardening and lawn work. Surviving besides his wife, Jean, are three children, James Minnich and his wife, Diane; Linda Lambel; Mary Shaver, all of Saginaw, MI; ten grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; one sister, Ellen (Ethel) Kroah, Wisconsin; several nieces and nephews. A daughter, Patricia Hoffman, and two brothers, Robert and Jack have predeceased him. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road. Friends may call at the Chapel from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service.
