Meyer, Kenneth E., Saginaw, Michigan

Passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2010 at Stone Crest Senior Living in Freeland. He was 93 years old. Kenneth E. Meyer was born on December 24, 1916 in Saginaw to the late Earl and Gladys Meyer. Ken was married to Josephine Schroeder, she preceded him in death in 1997. Ken was a Medic during WWII serving with the US Army. He was a self-employed electrician for over 60 years in Saginaw County and the surrounding areas. Prior to becoming an electrician Ken dabbled in various job opportunities. Among those opportunities were bartender, construction, plumber and assembly line worker. During his long life, Ken enjoyed: his work, motorcycles, his Corvette, “trips to Freeland”, membership at the Pulaski (especially Friday fish dinners), a good card game and a good Manhattan. Ken will be reunited with his wife, Josephine, his parents and two brothers, Wayne and Carroll Meyer. His vibrant spirit will live on in his many nieces and nephews. Ken’s funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Road (off State) Rev. Kenneth R. Parker will officiate with entombment to follow at Chapel Hill Mausoleum. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.; and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
