Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather, passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at St. Francis Home. Age 89 years. James O. McDuffie was born on November 9, 1920 in Dangerfield, Texas to the late Grover and Elizabeth McDuffie.  He married Yolanda Ann Losavio on July 30, 1944 in Florida. She preceded him in death on August 27, 2005. James was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church. James served his country for six years in the U.S. Navy CCC.  He was employed as a Jewelry Salesman in Saginaw and was then employed by General Motors where he worked at several locations throughout his career. James also volunteered and was a member of A.A.  James is survived by his daughter, Patricia McDuffie; two grandchildren: David (Michelle) Bierlein and Malissa (Wesley) Owens; eight great-grandchildren: David, Erica, Wesley, Leylahnd, Devlin, Maleyke, Shawna, Samantha; three great great- children: Isiah, Torie, Makayla, and one on the way. Also surviving are nieces and nephews: Peggy, Gigi, Roger, F.J., Mickey, Anna Mae and Peter. Following James wishes cremation has taken place. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to all the staff at St. Francis Home for all of the wonderful attention, love and care they provided. James’ Memorial Mass will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 6400 McCarty Road. Rev. Fr. James R. Carlson will officiate. Friends may call at St. John Vianney on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass.  Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Francis Home or the Alzheimer’s Association.
