Mahan, Lucille T., Saginaw, Michigan

Our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, Saturday, December 11, 2010, at Saginaw Senior Care at the age of 91. Lucille was born April 11, 1919, in Wilkin County, Minnesota to the late Frederich Karl and Augusta (Diersch) Fankhanel. She married Ellis H. Mahan on July 17, 1945, he survives her. She was a member of First Congregational Church (U.C.C.) where she was active in the Women’s Fellowship, Covenant Association, and Church Women United. She also sang in the choir for more than 50 years. She is survived by her husband Ellis; children, Mary Mahan, Helen (Terry) Dollhoff, and Chuck Mahan; grandchildren, Diana (Dan Neukom) Dollhoff, Michael (Nadhal Beydoun) Dollhoff, Elizabeth, Theresa, Anna, and Daniel Mahan; great-granddaughter, Adella; sisters-in-law, Arlyne Fankhanel, Hope Mahan, and Mary Mahan; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Wilmer and Leroy Fankhanel and Helen (Willard) Ambrose. Funeral services will take place at 12:00 noon Tuesday, December 14, 2010, at First Congregational Church (U.C.C.), 403 S. Jefferson, Saginaw. Rev. Ken Anderson and Dr. Charles Guerreno Jr. will officiate with burial to follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at W.L. Case & Company, 4480 Mackinaw Road, on Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and again at the church on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to First Congregational Church (U.C.C.).
