Passed away suddenly Friday, October 8, 2010, at St. Mary’s of Michigan. Age 70 years. The son of the late Ira and Harriet (Rittenberry) Luplow was born February 1, 1940 in Saginaw, Michigan. He was a graduate of St. Andrew High School and attended Michigan State University where he played football. He married Kay Testolin. She passed away in 1995. He later married Barbara Treib. She survives him. He had been employed by Eaton Mfg. Corp retiring with thirty-two years of service and then by Swan Valley School Dist. as director of maintenance and transportation. He coached several little league and high school football teams, was an avid M.S.U., Lions, Tigers and sports fan and member of the “Locker Room Club”. Surviving besides his wife, Barbara, are five children and their spouses, Mark and Becky Luplow, Fresno, CA; Lori and Rob Irons; Ann and Mark Monahan, all of Phoenix, AZ; Alan and Shirley Wazny, Saginaw, MI; Tom and Julie Treib, Birch Run, MI; 12 grandchildren, Jordan, Jessica, Shelby Kay, Shelby Rae, James, Rachel, Jack, Andrew, Abbie, Alexander, Anthony and Rachel; three sisters and their husbands, Mary and Jim Yule, Elizabeth Markey, Karen and George Bishop; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was predeceased by one sister, Donna Kolha and a brother, Claude Luplow. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, October 11, 2010, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel 4480 Mackinaw Road. Rev. William R. Taylor will officiate. Friends may call at the chapel from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday and from 2:00 p.m. Monday until the time of the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation or the Arizona Autism Coalition.
