Beloved mother and grandmother passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2010. Age 95 years. The daughter of the late George and Suzie (Hallet) Seder, Grace was born December 17, 1914 in Twining, Michigan. She married Archie Lappeus on June 26, 1936. He predeceased her November 14, 1991. Grace was a member of First United Methodist Church and the International Order of Odd Fellows/Rebekahs. She enjoyed quilting and reading and was an avid Detroit Tiger fan. Grace was very family orientated and loved spending time with them. Surviving are two sons, one daughter and their spouses, Robert and Mary Lappeus, Addison, Maine; Nancy Devers, Holt, Michigan; Raymond and Judy Lappeus, Freeland; two grandchildren, Marlene Lappeus and her husband Keith Kallio; Robert Lappeus; four great-grandchildren, Nicole, Frances, Jed and Vivienne; a sister, Inez Downing, Grand Blanc; several nieces and nephews. Grace was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister, William, Lester, Melvin and Kenneth Seder and Elma Walton. Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 6, 2010 at First United Methodist Church, 4790 Gratiot Road. Rev. Kathy Snedeker will officiate. Interment will take place at 3:00 p.m. Monday at Cedar Valley Cemetery in Twining, Michigan. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road, (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Sunday from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m. and at First United Methodist Church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
