Kinley, Jack K., Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved father and grandfather passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at Caretel Inns of America. Age 91 years. Son of the late Henry J. and Blanche (Thibault) Kinley, Jack was born April 19, 1919 in Detroit, Michigan moving to Saginaw in 1956. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a member of American Legion Post #439. Jack married Helen P. Pelto on August 2, 1952. She predeceased him September 16, 2007. Jack had been owner and operator of General Top and Trim retiring in 1981. He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, its Ushers Club, Knights of Columbus Council #4232 and Maple Hill Golf Club. He enjoyed golf, playing cards and especially watching his grandchildren’s activities. Surviving are five sons, one daughter and their spouses, Gary Kinley Ed.D., Santa Rosa, California; H. James and Peggy Kinley, Bay City; Pam and Dave Miller, Freeland; Pat and Donna Kinley, Saginaw; Scott and Kristen Kinley Rochester Hills; Jay and Kristin Kinley, Freeland; 10 grandchildren, Jordan, Brian (Ashley), Laura , Eric, Amy, Jeff, Lauren, Hunter, Jake and Chase; two sisters, Virginia Tuyn, Tallahassee, Florida; Barbara (Joseph) Apt, Minnetonka, Minnesota; many nieces and nephews. Jack was preceded in death by his brother, William Kinley and sister, Marie Patton. Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 23, 2010 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Randy Kelly will officiate. Honoring Mr. Kinley’s wishes, cremation will follow. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road (between Shattuck and McCarty) where the family will be present on Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Friday at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass. The Knights of Columbus Council #4232 will pray the Rosary at 3:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
