Passed away Saturday February 13, 2010 in Brooksville, Florida at the age of 91 years.  John was born September 8, 1918, the son of the late Phillip and Frances King. He married Constance (Connie) Laatsch April 5, 1941; she predeceased him July 25, 1997.  John retired from Saginaw Transmission Plant in 1977 after 36 years of service.  He was a member of U.A.W. Local 467. John was an avid harmonica player, an electronics buff and loved old cowboy movies.  Surviving are two children and their spouses,  Dr. David J. King and his wife, Sheila, Ft. Myers, Florida; Judith A. Misekow and her husband, Gerald, Saginaw; five grandchildren; Dr. Jeffrey J. King and Julie, Saginaw; Shelli L. King, Ft. Myers, Florida; Rand (Cami) Misekow, Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Kristy (Michael) Rog, Chicago, Illinois; Tracy (Corey) Zielinski, Saginaw; great-grandchildren, Nicholas A. King, Mitchell T. King, Samuel Spradlin, Emma Zielinski, Owen Rog and Dane Misekow; his sister, Nancy Putnam, Midland, Michigan; his brothers, Wally (Carol) King, Saginaw; Clayton King, Greenville, North Carolina; Dick King, Portland, Oregon; Thomas (Marjorie) King, Eastpointe, Michigan; several nieces and nephews.  John was predeceased by a grandson, Scott King, and one brother, Gordon King, two sisters, Mary Wade and Belva (Ditty) McGowan.  A memorial service will take place 11:00 a.m. Saturday March 6, 2010 at the W.L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road.  Rev. Robert Troutman will officiate.  Entombment will be in Oakwood Mausoleum. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
