Kerby, Frances Rose, Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved mother and grandmother passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at Caretel Inns of Tri-Cities. Age 88 years. The daughter of the late John and Anna (Rys) Sobol, Frances was born June 1, 1922 in St. Charles, Michigan. Frances married Joseph W. Kerby on November 18, 1942. He predeceased her May 20, 1991. She was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church and St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Frances enjoyed bingo, playing cards but most of all spending time with her grandchildren. Surviving are two daughters, two sons and their spouses, Mary Jo (MJ) and James Koski, Michael and Linda Kerby, Thomas and Debra Kerby, all of Saginaw; Susan and Dan Johnson, Bay City; eight grandchildren, Jim, Steve, Stephanie, Kristen, Sean, Kelly, Ashley and Amy; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Magdalene Sobol; many nieces and nephews. Frances was preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters, Walter, John, Joe, Stan, Louis, and Wally Sobol, Cecelia Kruske and Mary McMullen. Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 14, 2010 at St. Stephen Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. William R. Taylor will officiate with interment in St. Andrew Cemetery. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road, (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at St. Stephen Catholic Church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass.
