Loving wife, mother, Busia , great-Busia, god- mother and sister passed away Saturday, July 31, 2010 at Covenant HealthCare Cooper Campus. Age 73 years. Daughter of the late John and Mary (Dukarski) Smokoska, Romaine was born August 6, 1936 in Bay City, Michigan. She was married to Francis Haremski in 1955. Romaine was a member of the catholic faith and attended SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. She enjoyed crocheting, bingo, playing cards, NASCAR and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving besides Francis are one daughter, four sons and their spouses, Brian and Debra Haremski, Midland; Greg Haremski and his fiancée Trish Doyle, Saginaw; Karen Haremski and her special friend Ron Cheshire, Saginaw; Mike and Debbie Haremski, Saginaw; Dennis and Donella Haremski, Freeland; 17 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and an angel on his way; four sisters, Carol and Duane Archambault, Saginaw; Patricia Russell, Saginaw; Jackie and Dr. Dave Kazmierski, Ohio; MaryAnn and Matt Peterson; Saginaw; a sister-in-law Delphine Pawlik, Saginaw; many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Romaine was preceded in death by her daughter, Cheryl Lynn Haremski, and her brother-in-laws, Robert McMahon and Henry Pawlik. A special thanks to the nurses and staff on the 4th floor and CCU at Covenant HealthCare Cooper Campus for the love and care they had given to Romaine and her family. Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. John S. Sarge will officiate with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road, (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Monday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to SS.
