Loving wife passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at Saginaw Geriatrics Home. Age 89 years. The daughter of the late John and Mamie (Dauer) Bloom, Dorothy was born February 5, 1921 in Indiantown, Michigan. She was married to Gerhart J. Hall, her loving husband of 67 years, on January 24, 1943. He survives her. Dorothy was employed by Lufkin Rule, Wilcox Engineering, Chevrolet Parts Plant and was a teacher for porcelain and ceramic arts. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. Dorothy was a barber shop singer in the “Sounds of Harmony” and enjoyed winter sports and traveling. Surviving besides her husband Gerhart are many nieces and nephews. Dorothy was preceded in death by three brothers, Raymond, Elmer and Leslie Bloom. Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday July 23, 2010 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Road (between Shattuck and McCarty). Pastor David Birnbaum will officiate with entombment in Chapel Hill Mausoleum. Friends may call at the funeral home where the family will be present on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
